January 12, 2013 
16 boats showed up to fish the first PRMC tournament of 2013.  Once again, the day started foggy and chilly - and despite the forecast of 60 degrees and sun, the high for the day was only 50 and the sun never showed up.  Fog was heavy most of the day which made navigating tricky, but as usual, many big fish were caught - 7 over 50 lbs!  Thanks to everybody who came out to join us.   Congratulations to Jason Kintner and Don Sweet for the first place finish, and Mike and Kermit Heller for catching the big fish of the tournament.  a big thanks also to Roberts Custom Exhaust for donating the plaques for this tournament.

The final PRMC tournament of the year is done.  7 teams showed up to fish, but only one could end up on top.  Joe and Bobby have got to take the "Lucky Dog" award for this year!  With 1 hour left in the tournament, they set up in 4 feet of water within 200 yards of the marina and caught a 61 and a 42 for the big fish and tournament win!  Congrats and thank you to everybody who fished with us this year.  Lets get the word out and make 2013 even better than 2012.

What a way to end our first season!  5 fish over 50 lbs, 5 more over 60 pounds and a 70.72 pound beast (caught by Dave Snoke).  Over 1/2 of our fish today were over 50 pounds!  It can be depressing to bring 105 pounds to the scale and not even place!!! Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to everyone who participated in our tournaments this year.  These tournaments couldn't happen without your support.

What an awesome day of fishing!!!  Fully 1/2 of our fish were over 40 pounds with 5 over 50, including the new big fish of the year - a 70.9 pound monster caught by Michael Tepedino (the first fish he has ever caught on the Potomac!) To make the day even more interesting, the Wounded Warriors had 20 more boats on the water. Congratulations to Jason and Michael for catching big fish and Jacob and Ross for winning with a very impressive 107 pound total.  The bite should pick up as the water cools down so come on out for our final points tournament of the season on November 10th from 7 AM to 4 PM.

Because we had to postpone the tournament by a week, only 7 teams showed up to fish our last night tournament of the year.  Fish were pretty finiky, but every team managed to catch at least one fish over 30 pounds. Congratulations to Brad and Mike for their first tournament win and to John and Ross for catching the big fish of the tournament, 47.74 pounds

13 teams showed up for our next to last night tournament for this year.  Everybody seemed to have a strange night as no one got more than one fish over 40 pounds.  Still some very impressive weights were recorded.   Mike Gladhill found a nice 56.64 pound fish who was willing to bite and became the big fish of the tournament.  The points race is still conceivably up for grabs, but Lee and Robert are starting to pull away from the field.  With only 3 tourneys left fewer people will be able to keep up with their pace.

11 teams showed up to fish a non-point midsummer night tournament.  9 teams weighed in some impressive fish for a hot summer night - 8 fish over 40 lbs, and 16 out of 18 were over 25 lbs!  Congratulations to the winners and thanks everybody for showing up to fish our tournament.

Thanks to everyone who fished this tournament.  13 teams showed up to brave the bad conditions:  full moon, east wind and fish that are already starting to spawn.  Most teams found fish but not the monsters we find in the fall and winter.  Congratulations to Joe, Rob and Jeff for the first place finish and to Lee and Logan for bringing in the big fish of the tournament.  Also congratulations to the raffle winners: Ross won a $50 gift certificate to Bottom Dwellers tackle, Logan and Kevin each won a $25 gift certificate to Bottom Dwellers and Mike won the fish weigh sling.

Once again the wind played havoc with the fishing.  Not to mention the fact that the water was up to spawning temps for almost 2 weeks and then with the air temps being in the mid 30’s and low 40’s again, the water was back down to the upper  50’s.  Still, several nice fish were brought to the scale including the big fish of the tournament – a 54.56 pound beauty – and 3 more over 40 pounds.  Congratulations to Josh and his crew for winning and to Laura Mcknight for landing the big fish.
